Boards for anything, not just issues

The Kanban app began life as a single board for tracking issues raised against Nexus PLM itself. It is now a general board engine.

Any type, any lanes. A board binds to an object type and takes whatever lanes you define. The cards are the objects themselves, so moving a card between lanes moves the real record’s state — not a copy of it that drifts out of sync.

A designer for boards. The Kanban Manager creates boards, defines lanes and their colours, and seeds the permissions a new board needs. It also guards against the obvious mistakes: you cannot delete a lane that still holds cards, or rebind a board to a different object type while cards exist on it.

Boards the assistant can read. Ask Nova about a board by name and it answers from that board’s own cards, and can open the right board straight from its results.

Radial context menus landed on boards at the same time, including a move submenu whose discs carry each lane’s own colour — so a card can be moved without dragging it across the screen.
